At the time that Alan Scott’s older kids, Jennie-Lynn Hayden and Todd Rice, first learned of Molly Maynne Scott’s pregnancy, she was two-and-a-half months along, since she and Alan had decided to wait for a short time to make sure the pregnancy would hold before telling them. After all, until recently they had been senior citizens, and their new, youthful bodies were still largely a mystery. (*)

Since Rose Canton’s physical body had died, Jennie-Lynn and Todd, along with their father and Frances Kane, had to submit blood samples to test for genetic similarities. A few weeks later, the blood tests on Fran and the others came back and proved positively that Fran was indeed the child of Alan and Rose, thus also proving she was Jennie and Todd’s older sister.
The remaining six-and-a-half months sped by, but not quite uneventfully. During the sixth month, Molly and Alan learned they were expecting triplets, not just one child. They requested Molly’s doctor to tell them the babies’ individual genders to make selecting names for them easier. The doctor revealed that they were going to have two girls and a boy.
One early morning, Molly Maynne Scott awoke at 3:00 A.M. and realized her little ones would soon enter our world. She woke Alan, who immediately drove her to the hospital. There, Alan called Jennie-Lynn, Todd, and Frances, who all awaited Alan and Molly’s presence at the hospital.
After a few hours in labor, the doctor realized that two of the three babies were in breach position and opted to perform a caesarian section to ease their birth. Alan and Molly watched as their three babies emerged one at a time in the doctor’s hands from the incision on her uterus. The doctor cut each baby’s umbilical cord as he pulled them out and handed them off to the nurses. Each baby cried loudly, and that gave their parents great relief, because they knew that meant the babies were healthy.
As expected, they had two girls and a boy, meaning that Alan Scott was now the proud father of four daughters and two sons, three of whom were young adults and three of whom were babies.
Alan and Molly then bestowed the names they had chosen on the three babies. The firstborn girl was named Sarah Alyssa Scott. The second-born and only boy was named Adam Jason Scott. The third-born, another girl, was named Megan Laura Scott.
When the babies got a little bigger, they grew to more greatly resemble members of their family. Sarah had bright red hair and green eyes, looking much like their mom; Adam was a blue-eyed blonde like their dad; and Megan had brown hair and brown eyes, and she looked much like her older brother Todd, also resembling their father in an offbeat kind of way.
Frances Kane, Jennie-Lynn Hayden, and Todd Rice rejoiced over their new baby siblings. Jennie even remarked she hoped that her children were exactly like them, causing Alan and Molly to look at her with mild concern, while Fran and Todd each wondered if they’d ever have a relationship successful enough to give them their own kids one day.
